Lampyrはgen asai自作の楽器アプリの銘である。lampyrは蛍の学名で語源はギリシャ語の「輝く」からきている。刹那的な自然と過ごす時間を通して時間が輝くという意味を込め、彼はこの楽器を用いて京都の鴨川で演奏を続けていた。 身近にあって見えている自然、見えていない自然。同じ場所であっても過去の記憶や人間の関係を通しその風景は違って見えてくる。
京都を拠点に活動する日本のアンビエント作家としてハイコンテクストなリリースを続ける涼音堂茶舗が紹介する2026年の気鋭のアーティスト作品。
A landscape looks different depending on memory and perception. Lampyr is the name gen asai gave to a self-built instrument app — drawn from the scientific name for firefly, itself rooted in the Greek word for "to shine." Carrying the idea that time itself can shine through fleeting moments spent with nature, he has continued to perform with this Lampyr along the Kamo River in Kyoto.
